20013

Hi Everyone,
We are having a great start to the new year.
Tina Johnson had the children in great routines during the first few days which made it very easy for me when I came back.
As always we have an open door policy at Frankley School, and this along with being in partnership with you as parents to do the best for your children, is what makes teaching at Frankley so enjoyable and rewarding.
Often a few words before or after school are just as important for New Entrants and their parents as the organised interview time. For a longer chat Tuesdays or Thursdays after school are usually better for me as I have meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Parent helpers are always welcome in the class room but bear in mind how well your child has settled into the class room before you volunteer, as a child who is still uncertain about leaving you can be quite clingy in the class room, making helping others next to impossible and perhaps detrimental to the settling process.
With this wonderful weather we are swimming every afternoon. This year we are focusing on confidence in the water. We have always done this but after a visit from Cecile of STATE Swimming New Zealand we have been encouraged to put a n even greater emphasis on this aspect.
